Whenever the sun comes out in Edinburgh, there are plenty of nice outdoor spaces in which to enjoy the decent weather. You can try climbing up Arthurs Seat, wandering around the Botanic Gardens, or do as Mr Bug and I did a few days ago and stroll along the Water of Leith, Edinburgh’s very own river.
This January I feel like I have been hiding away a little. I’ve definitely not been out as often as I would usually be, because I feel I have had to recover from all the festive madness in December and have been in the midsts of planning a wedding that is only (OH MY GOODNESS) seven weeks away. However, I did pop out for one meal with a friend, and I felt given my current mood and situation it had to be something wholesome. So we went to the delightful Earthy, which can be found in Canonmills.
If you love hot dogs, then you must make a beeline for The Other Place, which is in the heart of Canonmills. This pub has a good atmosphere, but it’s the selection of “gourmet hot dogs” that makes it really worth the visit.
