Rabbie’s City Tours

As a local, I love showing off my hometown. Like me, Rabbie’s Tours call Edinburgh home and they are just as keen to show visitors around, so they have started up new Rabbies City Tours to do just that.

I was invited along to a special blogger run of this tour to find out exactly what the new offering was about. Historically Rabbies have taken visitors further afield to the Highlands and further reaches of Scotland, and while they still do that, they wanted to add something a bit more closer to home to their repertoire.

For the new tour Rabbies have invested in these brand spanking new  minibuses. Capable of carrying 16 people, these buses have convertible glass roofs that will give you panoramic views  of Edinburgh all year round, come rain or shine. We completely lucked out on the weather this particular evening, so we were able to ride around town with the roof down!

The tour snakes around the heart of the Old and New Town of Edinburgh, and along the way their audio guide Rabbie tells you about the sights and tales of the city from a local’s perspective. A pair of headphones are included, or you can bring your own.

It can be quite difficult to take pictures from a moving bus, but as it was such a lovely evening I couldn’t resist taking some snaps of some of the sights! The photos below will give you an idea of the kind of places the tour covers, but head on over to Rabbie’s City Tours website (link below) for a more detailed itinerary.
